Who We Are and What We Believe

Vineyard Distinctives

Vineyard Distinctives are the core values and practices that shape who we are.

We are anchored in the Kingdom of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and committed to living with authenticity, humility, and everyday faith.

God’s Kingdom is here, but not all the way. Sometimes we see healing and breakthrough, and other times we’re left waiting and wondering. We live in that in-between space, trusting that God is at work, even when we don’t see the full picture yet.

This is our go-to prayer. It's simple, honest, and full of expectation. We just say, “Come, Holy Spirit,” and invite God to be present with us—no pressure, no hype, just a real moment with a real God.

You don’t have to be a pastor or have it all figured out to be used by God. Around here, everyone gets a chance to join in - whether that’s praying for someone, leading a group, or serving behind the scenes. If you’re willing, God’s ready.

We try to keep things clear and focused on Jesus. No deep theological rabbit holes—just the good news in everyday language. If it’s in the Bible and it’s about Jesus, we’re in.

We believe God still does amazing stuff—healing, speaking, showing up—but we try to keep it real. No theatrics, just the Holy Spirit doing what He does, right in the middle of normal life.

You don’t have to clean yourself up to be part of this family. Come with your mess, your questions, your story. But be ready! God’s love changes people, and we grow together as we follow Him.

Sometimes following Jesus means stepping out of your comfort zone; praying out loud, offering to help, showing up when it’s hard. We take risks because we believe God meets us there.

We worship in a way that’s honest and open. Whether you raise your hands, sit quietly, or sing your heart out, it’s all welcome. It’s not about a show—it’s about connecting with God together.

Statement of Faith

We Believe:

1. The Triune God We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who is eternal, loving, and sovereign. He is the Creator of all things and is actively redeeming His creation.

2. The Authority of Scripture We believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God. It reveals God’s character, His purposes, and His plan for salvation. It is our final authority for faith and practice.

3. The Kingdom of God We believe the Kingdom of God is the central message of Jesus. Through His life, death, and resurrection, the Kingdom has come near. We live in the "already and not yet" — anticipating its full arrival while partnering with God in His redemptive work now.

4. Jesus Christ We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and reigns as King. Salvation is found in Him alone, by grace through faith.

5. The Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers for daily living, spiritual growth, and ministry. We welcome the Spirit’s gifts and guidance, expecting His presence in our worship and service.

6. The Church We believe the Church is the body of Christ — a Spirit-empowered community called to love, serve, and make disciples. Everyone gets to play. Each person has a role in God’s mission.

7. Humanity and Salvation We believe all people are made in the image of God and are deeply loved by Him. Through repentance and faith in Christ, we are forgiven, made new, and brought into God’s family.

8. Mission and Justice We believe in proclaiming the gospel and demonstrating it through acts of compassion, mercy, and justice. We are called to love our neighbors, serve the marginalized, and steward creation.

9. The Return of Christ We believe Jesus will return to establish His Kingdom in fullness, bringing judgment and restoration. We await that day with hope, living faithfully and expectantly.

We are people of worship, community, and compassion — learning to love like Jesus and welcoming others into His story.
