Growing Little Hearts and Faith

Where faith comes alive for children! Through creative lessons, hands-on activities, worship, and storytelling, we help children discover who God is and how much He loves them. Our goal is to plant seeds of faith in young hearts and help them grow in a safe, fun, and Christ-centered environment.

Every Sunday is an adventure—filled with joy, discovery, and the truth that Jesus loves them deeply.

Nursery

A safe, nurturing space where little ones are loved, prayed over, and free to wiggle, giggle, and grow! Our trained and caring team provides age-appropriate care and play in a clean, peaceful environment—so parents can worship knowing their babies are in good hands. We believe even the smallest hearts can experience the love of Jesus.

Because every child matters. Every moment matters.

Sunday School

Every Sunday, children and preteens dive into faith in a way that’s engaging, meaningful, and made just for them. Through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on activities, worship, and creative storytelling, we help children build a foundation of faith that lasts.

Whether they’re 4 or in middle school, children are encouraged to ask questions, explore who God is, and discover their identity in Christ—all while having fun and building friendships. Our goal is to raise world changers who know they are deeply loved by God.

Students in high school and up are invited to join the main church service with their families to worship, learn, and grow alongside the broader church community.

Greenhouse Program

Greenhouse is our mid-week discipleship program designed especially for children, providing a nurturing environment where young hearts can grow in their love for Jesus. Through interactive lessons, worship, and hands-on activities, children learn foundational truths of the faith while building friendships and discovering how to live out their faith in everyday life. Greenhouse is a place where faith takes root and children thrive.

Small Group Childcare

We believe strong families build strong communities—and we want to support yours. That’s why we offer free, high-quality childcare during many of our small groups. While parents connect, grow, and build deeper relationships, children are cared for in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment by our caring team members that are faithful, handpicked, and qualified.

No stress. No cost. Just space for your whole family to grow in faith together.

Please note: Not all small groups provide childcare, so be sure to check group details when signing up.

Guarding the Little Ones

At Clarksville Vineyard, we believe that children are not just the future of the church — they are the church. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and Spirit-filled environment where kids can encounter God’s love, grow  in their faith, and build meaningful relationships.

Your child’s safety is our highest priority. We follow these best practices to ensure a secure  environment:

  • Background Checks: All children’s ministry volunteers are background-checked and screened before serving.
  • Security: Partnered with the Montgomery County Sheriff's department to provide on-site security during service events and children's activities.
  • Two-qualified Volunteers: At least two qualified volunteers are present in every classroom or group to protect both children and volunteers.
  • Secure Check-In & Check-Out: Each child must be checked in by a parent/guardian and released only to that person (or approved alternate). We use a check-in system with security tags to verify pick-up.
  • Classroom Monitoring: Classrooms and hallways are periodically monitored by designated staff or volunteers during services. We also have video surveillance in public areas which includes the classrooms.

To protect the health of all children, we ask that you keep your child home if he/she shows any signs of illness, including:

    • Fever within the past 24 hours
    • Active stomach virus symptoms
    • Persistent cough or nasal drainage
    • Contagious conditions (e.g. pink eye, lice, hand-foot-mouth)
    • Children should be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to class. This ensures a safe and  comfortable environment for all.

We aim to model the love and grace of Jesus in every interaction. Our approach to behavior is:

      • Positive and encouraging — we redirect rather than punish.
      • Clear and consistent — children are gently guided toward respect, kindness, and self-control.
      • Teamwork with parents — if a behavior issue arises that requires more attention, we will connect with you to work together in support of your child.

We are prepared in the event of an emergency:

      • Evacuation Plan: Fire and evacuation procedures are posted in classrooms and practiced with volunteers.
      • Allergies & Medical Needs: Parents can note allergies or special instructions during check-in. Emergency medications (like EpiPens) must be labeled and handed directly to the teacher.
      • First Aid: Basic first aid kits are available and select staff are trained in CPR and emergency response.

We value open and timely communication with parents:

      • During Service: If we need you, we’ll notify you via the Vineyard app or send out a text.
      • Weekly Updates: Important news, upcoming events, or schedule changes are shared through church announcements, email, and our app.
      • Questions? Our ministry leaders are happy to meet with you anytime.

We desire for every child to experience God’s love and community. If your child has special needs  or unique learning, sensory, or behavioral needs, please let us know. We would love to partner  with you to provide the best possible environment for them to thrive. Please contact Deborah Hellums to begin a conversation.
